*UPDATE*
TL,DR - Requires Spirit of Summer, located in the Wilderness, spears are the only weapon that do 100% damage, don't bring familiars, don't stand on the dark core when it spawns -or- kill it with AoE abilities when it's next to you.

Since it's only the first one, I only put in mid-tier bosses. Nex is like the pinnacle of what I'd be comfortable with having us do on the first week.
