SWC: The Future

As you may be aware, Jagex has been more actively releasing DXPs throughout the year, and this has caused us to reschedule SWC a few times to avoid conflict with it. The staff team has been busy all throughout November to devise a more DXP-friendly SWC schedule for the future.

As such, we have formed a laid-back schedule to run SWC for the usual one week, once a month, on the second week of the month (except in cases where it coincides with a DXP). We would like to hear from our community on scheduling SWC events during a DXP month. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this post when finished reading.

SWC Seasons/Rounds Layout

There will be a total of 12 SWCs for the year, 2 seasons of 6 rounds each. We also have an alternative option of 3 seasons of 4 rounds each. We'd love to know which you prefer, as it's really all about our members! Our personal preferred layout is 2 seasons and 6 rounds, as you'll see below:


Season 1:
Skill group 1 (vote)
Skill group 2 (hat of doom)
Skill group 3 (vote)
Skill group 4 (hat of doom)
Skill group 1 (vote)
Skill group 2 (hat of doom)

Season 2:
Skill group 3 (hat of doom)
Skill group 4 (vote)

With the schedule illustrated above, here's some things to mention about it:

1. Skills are divided into 4 different skill groups (Combat, Gathering, Artisan, Support) [see here].
   
2. Per round there will only be the skills from ONE skill group featured for either voting on or for choosing by the hat of doom.
   
3. There will be a guaranteed 3 skills done throughout the year per skill group. As usual, there will be no repeat skills, and Summoning, Invention, and Archaeology are exempt as possibilities.
   
4. Each individual skill group will be pre-assigned as 'Skill group 1, 2, 3, and 4' and all four skill groups will be done before repeating over completely two more times.
   
5. To prevent predictability, the skill group order sequence WILL NOT appear as shown above, but rest assured that no skill group will appear back to back.
