Elf city -- your thoughts? - Debs - 2014-09-23
Yesterday finally saw the introduction of elf city. After all the hype for it in the build up I wasn't sure what I'd think about it. Having been there now I can actually say I quite enjoy it. Even though there's only the first batch opened I'm already looking forward to the rest.
The thieving is so easy there now and the mining with the ore stacking in your inventory makes it somewhere where I could just live there. Whether or not it's refocused my aims on rs I'm not sure yet. I've yet to try out the combat part so will look at that today.
If the range area is anything then you might actually see me work on my range.
The different portals there make it more like a hub to get to anywhere. The ability to go directly through a portal to places like the Citadel, our ports etc is useful. Not to mention in the maxed guild there are portals you can direct to places you want specifically like an active crystal tree.
What are other people's thoughts about this recent update?

I love it, I love everything that came with this update, the afk thieving, the golden rock statue, the slayer D&D it's just all really well done, I've gotten 2m thiev xp from elf city alone, and plan for much much more.

No teleport directly to Max Guild.
EDIT: Should have been told about it. Nobody right-clicks a cape with no right-click options ( max )
Doesn't look as good as I thought it would. ( graphically )
The Choking Ivy is too close to that tree NPC.
Why is the tree patch so far from the other farming patches?
What was the point of unfurling the skill banners in the Max Guild?

It's totally renewed my interest in the game. It makes me want to train past what I'm at now
I think them acknowledging maxed players with their own guild in game is really awesome. Like Dregg, I'm not 100% impressed with the graphics, but they're alright.

My initial thoughts are that it looks like a very interesting place with plenty to do and should fit in with how I play runescape.
Looks very popular for a lot of people too! Very crowded when ever I'm there.

I love the city. It has lived up to and exceeded any expectations I had coming into the city gates and that is only the first half! I can't utilize everything offered in the city, but what I can utilize to my advantage has made my journey a lot easier.
