Better training - Telemachus - 2016-06-01 Hey everyone, So, I took on (or at least tried to) the bandos part of gwd, and I didn't do as well as I thought. I got 15 kills, but I ended up running out of food in about 5 min. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. So, I'm looking for advice. I know getting stronger is the best way to become a better player, but what are some good ways to training all combat skills? I'm more knowledgeable when it comes to non-combat skills, but I believe I haven't seasoned myself in combat enough. Looking forward to the responses! -Tyler- RE: Better training - Ricky - 2016-06-02 Looking at your stats I'm thinking you should be able to wear bandos armor(you may need 3 more def levels) with saradomin godsword. These items can be to effectively train melee skills at Hellhounds. For range training I would train against Waterfiends. RE: Better training - Gohankuten - 2016-06-02 Slayer is a great way of training combat skills. Get a set of the t70 GWD armour(Bandos, Armadyl, and Subjugation), a t70 range weapon(crystal bow, black salamander, or karils crossbow/pistol crossbows), a t70 or 75 melee weapon(Saradomin Godsword(passive) is arguably the best for 2h though any Godsword works as for dw abby whip and enhanced excalibur(requires hard seers village task set completed) is about only option at this tier and if you don't have access to enhanced excalibur then stick to 2h), and a t75-80 magic weapon(couple of options here between Staff of Armadyl(my prefered one due to infinite air runes and no degrading), Polypore Staff, and Staff of Light for 2h and Virtus wand/book and Abby wand/orb for dw) and then just use whichever style is best suited for current slayer task and train combat that way. Also train Dungeonerring so you can get access to chaotic weaponry which gives you t80 dw for melee and range and t80 2h for melee and mage so that you can transition to it if you want to though for slayer combat training what I have listed above works well aside from the range which I would suggest switching to a royal crossbow once you get to level 80. |
