Info about the wicked pouch on the news post and solomon's store is misleading. I had enough spare rune coins to buy one, and having played with it a little bit I'm not thrilled with the results.
Some details that were not mentioned by Jagex:
With all that in mind, the pouch has two uses. You can use it to save inventory space in combat, using abilities or revolution to save the runes if you want it to last any length of time.
Or you can use it as a quick way to switch spells, which is good for 66 uses.
This isn't a warning not to buy the pouch (it's not entirely useless), but I certainly don't want anyone getting suckered by Jagex and losing loyalty points/gp or, worse yet, real money only to find out that they're not getting what they expected.
Some details that were not mentioned by Jagex:
- The pouch converts runes to energy when adding them to the pouch, with different runes being worth different amounts of energy. Mind/body/elemental runes are worth 1 energy, blood runes are worth 40.
- The energy can be used in place of any rune. For instance, you can add body runes to the pouch and use them for nature rune spells. (as I'm writing this, soul runes are the cheapest way to fill the pouch)
- The pouch can only be filled with 10k energy, and can't be refilled. In other words, it doesn't last very long.
- Switching prayers or spellbooks costs 150 energy.
