You just do the /c once and then you talk, like it's set to the clan chat only. No need for // anymore and you don't type /c unless you switch modes again. It's a lot like other MMOs, but I don't know if you've played others or not.
Or you can do as Zephyr said, just leave it in /p mode and keep typing //. I am sure quite a few people will still be doing that.
At work right now so I can't test out this update personally, but I'm sure I will like it when I get home and see it. I've always wanted them to do something different with the chat and now it's finally here, so w00t on that! Also curious to see how the Wise Old Man handles quest items now. Will have to pay him a visit later.
Posting this now, but will end up voting later once I've tried things out. ^_^
