A person who does no quests at all is a player that fails and can't do much of anything. Holiday events on the other just give you an item that you can use as bragging rights to say how long you have been playing the game for.(2012-04-03 23:35:49)Dave Wrote: I wish they would do away with these holiday updates and focus their efforts on content that doesn't disappear forever after two weeks.Aren't you quite the downer? I admit, to me they are not the most interesting updates, but that does not mean they should not have them at all. Many players enjoy them, especially new players. I remember I used to love holiday events as a noob, they were a big social, fun to do, and I loved the dumb rewards. xD
You can say the same thing about quests, which are very similar. You do it and then that content is no longer of use to you. That doesn't mean they shouldn't do it, quests are a big part of Runescape. As our special events, which you should know since you have played for so long. I know you hate to see Jagex change..so here they are sticking to their roots. I doubt they spent months developing this too, so you will not be that deprived of your special "improving runescape" updates. Though since you said you care deeply about the well being of the game, these community type focused events help a lot.
Unless that was one of your strange sarcastic comments I don't get, then I am sorry.
