RuneScape
*RuneScape Name: Crustyninja
*Total level: 2272
*Combat level: 135
*Location or Timezone:
IRC Nickname: Haven't got one currently, might get round to redownloading Mirc or Swiftkit and setting one up at some point.
* Have you been referred here? If so, by whom? Debs
General Information
*What's your favorite thing to do in RuneScape?: Enjoying everything at the moment, this player port thing seems pretty interesting, not sure what it does exactly but Debs told me I should do it and she generally seems to know what she's talking about.
*Why are you applying?: I don't like being lonely, prefer to have a natter with people while I play rather than sit here twiddling my thumbs on my own. Hung around the CC for a few days and you guys seem pretty sound, so I figure, why not?
*How can you contribute to Surreal?: I can probably cap this citadel thing? That might help, other then that, I'm just a regular guy looking to socialise.
*Name other clans you have involved yourself with [please be as detailed as you can]:
You sure you want me to be as detailed as I can? Well, ok then.
Lets see if I can still remember how to use these tags....
Warning: Prepare for a wall of text involving various lingo that you may not understand unless you were involved in the pking scene back then
I was in some random RSB clans that I can't really remember much about in 2005/2006 I'd guess, 1 had guthix in the name and the other I think was the white dragons, that's probably wrong, but I'm fairly sure it had white in the title somewhere, not much to say about them, they basically ran off the runescape boards (forums). Gave me my first bit of experience with clans/online communities though, so I guess it was valuable in that regard.
The future elites (2006) - Junior clan to the British elites, another RSB type clan that was crossing over to RSC at the time I joined, not much to say, I joined them, got 5 combat levels in 2 weeks and was moved up to the senior clan.
The British elites (2006-2007 was here 18 months) - Was a pretty cool warring/community clan (around 99% British, as the name suggests), they weren't heavy pkers but they dabbled a bit. This is where I got my first taste of the big F2P pking/warring scene and fell in love with it. Felt so safe as a 105 combat guy running around with a bunch of level 120+ guys (with that dark red colour username thing they had going on back then), and attending wars in the old wild with 120+ people on each side was pretty epic, as ridiculous as it probably sounds now. Think the best we got was 125 of our guys to turn up to a war (375 opts as it was known back then, we were so close to maxed opts ).
The titans (2007 - 2010? was active here for I'd guess around 2 - 2.5 years, then over then next year my activity gradually dwindled into nothing after I got a job, got moved to retired after that) - What can I say, spent alot of time here, lots of memories. Was there when they were the #1 F2P clan, was there when we won the jagex cup (is that still around?), was there when we won the longest fight held since Runescape classic (24 hour pk run in against Divine Forces). Was there when Debs joined Was a sweet bunch of guys/gals to chill with, used to spend hours just chatting on teamspeak and playing games with them. Miss a bunch of them quite a bit, as sad as it probably sounds. I basically grew up with a bunch of them, considering a reasonable amount had come from The British Elites.
Could actually probably put more detail in but its nearly 2:30 in the morning now so this is enough for now, feel free to ask for more if you wish
