RE: New Members' Pricing - Dave - 2012-01-24 I've always been an on and off player, and in the past I have only been paying for membership when I was actually a member. I got in on the 6 month deal for $25 or whatever so for now I am a member at least until June. But at some point I will undoubtedly stop playing again and I'll have to decide whether it's worth it to me to continue paying for membership to keep the $5.95 price and continue gathering loyalty points. The other option is that I just hang it up for good, because there's just no way I'm going to pay $8 per month for this game. RE: New Members' Pricing - PiXeYstyx - 2012-01-24 It was bound to happen sooner or later. With how amazing each update that comes out it was only a matter of time they upped the price. I was expecting it to only be $1 increase like it was the last time so I was shocked that it was $2 this time. But $7.95 a month is still pretty cheap for an MMORPG like this. I'm glad they are still having the lock in price for those who still have the renewal membership because I'm still locked in at $5. Even though I'm Retired right now I don't care about spending the $5 a month to make sure I keep that price. Mainly bc I do log in from time to time to check on things and who knows I may get some time to actually play and check new updates out. Yeah, I still pay $5 U.S. Dollars for my membership. ^.^ Also, I hope that happens too! There's no way in heck Jagex is gonna give long term vets a price reduction. Our price wasn't reduced we just weren't forced to pay the increased price.
