Ports Crew - Ava - 2014-07-30 Heya guys! I've been working on my port, and have been wondering how many of each type of crew member I should have. This is my crew right now: I was thinking of getting the Sea Witch, but I don't know who to fire. I was thinking maybe the Palmist, since she doesn't seem to do anything. Any recommendations on what I should be shooting for with my crew? RE: Ports Crew - Nevyn - 2014-07-30 In my opinion, you don't really need to worry too much about any of the crew other than the Morale/Combat/Seafaring crews until you hit the last region or two. So Ideally you'll want 5 of each of them, and a captain focused in the skills as well. The Merchant is nice if you've got split voyages, but otherwise at the lower regions most of them aren't that great/useful (imo) RE: Ports Crew - Gatrie - 2014-07-30 Yeah pretty much what Ryan said. Personally I have 5 Morale/Combat/Seafaring for One-Type Missions, 1 or 2 Judge of Dice (Upgrade of your Bureaucrats), and then extra room for other M/C/S crew for Hybrid Missions, or special units. Currently don't have any special units, didn't really think a lot of them were worth it :/ The Soothsayer was pretty good for getting random events though on easier missions. I have no idea if that's the best I'm sure there are better ways but it works pretty good for me Try your best to get a good captain, and you'll be ok. Honestly I focused mostly on upgrading the port and buying new ship parts over getting the best crew, but later regions you definitely need that regions level of crew. Hope that helps |
