I'm on his side. If I could make money like he can, I would. Runescape is a game and I like it; however if it were to benefit me IRL like it has him, then I'd not hesitate. However, I enjoy the game when just playing it.

TlDR Do I blame him? hell no.

as this is my second post on this thread I will say 1 thing. Yes banning the dicing clans is bad but what about the clientell they wont make money if people dont do it and spend there hard earned gp gambling. Personally I'd issue temp banns to the people partaking in dicing and not the people starting it the only way they wont do it is if no clients are there for it

I have mixed feelings.

1. Atleast Jagex is working to clean some stuff up, ie high scores so ppl who legit earn their skills can shine over the damn bots.

2. If I could make that kindof money doing what they do, I wouldnt hesitate to do it either. We all have issues we have to take care of IRL, and if I made that kindof money doing that I def would to pay off college loans.

3. Jagex is basically selling Runescape items, xp, etc for $$.

4. Most those high rollers have seperate accounts they xfer the gp too, pretty sure banning their one account won't make a difference. They'll keep on doing it.

Has almost no impact and is severely overdue so I find it hard to praise Jagex much for this.. I do hope that the trend continues and they do start sorting the game out (before inevitably removing free trade) and this isn't just here to create some hype before announcing Runefest.

As the news post explained, the hosts are guilty of rwt and running macros to advertise their gambling operations. Some of them are likely to have scammed other players too. What rule have their clients broken to warrant a temporary ban?

I don't think anything they do will stop RWT and bots but it's nice to see that they are doing something and are banning the accounts that they can/know of. Yeah, they'll have others and there is others but it's a start. I just want to see no more spam about buying GP and be able to have my private on without getting some randomer messaging me about buying GP.

This is good news, but honestly I do not care that much about this stuff, games like Runescape will always have these problems.

What I am most interested in is the last part of the post, that they might re-introducing F2P to the highscores, that is great! Also what Evaluate already said, they have banned a large number of high XP bots from the highscores, particularly in hunter. Biggrin

Not gonna say I feel bad for them, but if I could, I would make money of it. 50k$ is an awesome amount, I could use that so well. Having a hard time making things go around...would make it all more easy.

okay. I mean the people who are buying the gold should be temp banned instead of perm bann so they can realize oo my high account might get banned.
