This display from a company that has instated rules against this fact is a little sickening. However I agree with that fact that Gamestop has probably provided them a large chunk of money for this to happen. These 'vanity' items have really no purpose in game other than to show off that you bought membership from a company.
The whole point is for Jagex and Gamestop to make money. But making it exclusive to Gamestop is limiting their profit, unless Gamestop paid them off for that too. Either way I'm looking at it, Gamestop is attempting to control the membership market in the United States, which a good majority of people will fall into.
