It will need to be done because it features a signature hero. The previous reworks that involve signature heroes have required completion for comp.

I understand why the veteran players will be sad to see the old quests go, but you have to think of the new players coming into this game. These are some of their first experiences coming into the game, they won't be getting a very good impression of it with these 12 years old quests (in the case of BKF) that lack plot, entertainment and just the general stuff that good quests have.

What's not entertaining about dropping a cabbage into a witch's potion?

You do raise a fair point, although I don't agree that the plot/entertainment in older quests are any worse than what they're releasing now. In my eyes, the only difference between old and new are graphical updates and perhaps the addition of voiced characters.

Not all older quests, but a lot of the reworked ones. This one, rune mysteries, Witch's potion etc. Some of the older quests are still really good.
