Hi Surreal,

This is our first change made since collecting all that valuable feedback from you in last month's Surreal Revealed newsletter. Our focus this month will be on progression within the clan, and activity requirements.

As @Lady Spyra made you all aware, we have scrapped our activity requirements going forward; however we will do inactivity sweeps to remove people who are not contributing at all.

The approach we're taking as opposed to an activity requirement is to acknowledge and promote those who go above and beyond to contribute. A group effort brought together our new ranking system for 2016! Your forum and clan chat ranks are now based upon your total activity points as a member. This means some people will lose their 'Senior Member' rank. We hope that you can see this as a positive step forward for our clan.

Below is an outline of the ranks we have set, and how many activity points you need to achieve them:

	Active Member	400 Points
	Surrealian	1000 Points
	Surrealian II	1500 Points
	Specialist	2100 Points
	Loyalist	3000 Points
	Master	5000 Points
	Senior Member	10000 Points

Just in case any of you were wondering, here's a refresher on ways you can earn points at the time of this post:

Activity	Points Earned
Citadel Cap	40 Points
Official Event	40 - 60 Points
Skill Week Round	40 - 80 Points

Additional tweaks to the HUB are going to be made to display your all-time points, as well as your month-to-date points, so you can always be up to speed with your rank progression.

I'm interested to know why, as this was not why we introduced a ranking system. The last thing we'd want to do is make you feel like that! I know the wording is different, but the spread of ranks being awarded is even wider than it was.

I am still open to suggestions @Liz, so if you can come up with an improvement we could make, I am all ears!

id assume the ranks a reset every year? so loyalty would no longer be a factor, just online time? and if the reset is yearly your rank is dependent upon activeness not loyalty? does loyalty now count for nothing?

So no. Loyalty is definitely what we strive for. This new system was just implemented and the rank you have now, is where you'll begin. There is no yearly reset, your points roll over to the future years. Thus you can work towards your desired rank at your own pace.

 ahh i see, that makes a little more sense, i miss interpreted it my apologies.

The ranks are now based on your total activity points since joining (this dates as far back as 2012) - additionally the HUB issue has been corrected. Those who were previously locked out with messages saying they are not a member should have regained access.
