I voted "Yep!" allthough it's not 100% true. It all depends on which skill I'd like to train.
I always start with a farm-trip in the morning so that kind of counts as a routine, but the rest of the day is almost completely random. I try to wear my Amulet of Farming as much as possible so I can do farm-trips as much as possible. If I can't wear it, I time it as good as possible, do if after an certain amount of familiairs or after a task.
So the only routine I actually have are the farming-trips
