Solomon's General Store - Grand Opening!

Solomon - a genie of exquisite taste and distinction - has a plethora of exclusive merchandise to enhance your characters' appearance, and is offering them for purchase in his boutique: Solomon's General Store.

There are costumes - become a cunning Assassin or a debonair swashbuckler, and visual enhancements for your weapons - how about a Pactbreaker longsword?; there are also animations that change how you skill and teleport; a variety of emotes; and a host of new titles. Last, but certainly not least, a banner that allows you to stamp your mark on Gielinor!



Free players and members alike will have access to this store from within the game, and as a celebration of his store's 'Grand Opening', Solomon is offering all first time visitors to his store 200 RuneCoins to spend.

That's on top of the 10% that all members receive in the store - permanently!



Alongside Solomon’s General Store is the new Customisation System. This lets you change your appearance without losing the stats from your regular worn items, set up new animation overrides and manage your titles. It also allows you to preview the various items and animations available in Solomon’s General Store, so you can view them on your character before making a purchase. This dressing room even lets you save costume combinations for the future. The Customisation System can be accessed at any time from your Worn Equipment tab.



RuneCoins are a new currency that we've introduced purely for Solomon's General Store and they're available for purchase through the Jagex billing system, accessed either here or via the Buy RuneCoins button from inside the Store itself.

And remember for our members, we have a discount of 10% on all items available in the Store!

Crap update. Just another money-hungry update by Jagex. I really wish they'd spend time developing content people actually enjoy rather than this load of rubbish.

Isn't gonna affect my gameplay.

doesn't affect my gameplay but im going to vote for HATE IT purely because this is just the start of even more crap to come, opening up a jagex store will also open up the possibility of game enhancing items such as armour - we already have free xp and gp in SoF.

I've said this probably 50 times already, and I'll say it again.

Honestly I will say this update is not bad and it is completely different than SOF. All of the items, animations, outfits etc. are COMPLETELY cosmetic, so they are not getting any advantage at all. It is just if people want to look cooler, they can spend some money which I am fine with, they are not getting ahead in the game at all. And if it gets Jagex more money to bring in better content, then even better.

For now it is that way. But remember how the SoF started out as just a simple once/twice a day thing that was just about luck. Then Jagex added the ability to buy spins and then it became about luck and who can put in the most money for spins to get an advantage. And Jagex used the bull**** excuse of "well everyone was using their spins so they all like it so it's staying" to keep the buyable spins even though a majority of players detested the ability to buy spins. It's the future that this store represents that I hate and I know that eventually it won't be just harmless cosmetics and animations.

I am not going to complain about an update that hasn't happened yet.

Doesn't affect my gameplay + some of the stuff looks pretty cool so yeah.

The stuff looks pretty sweet so I won't lie there. I hope it stays cosmetic and nothing more down the road.
