Slayer and clues. The effigies help with other skills, charms for summoning, drops for certain skills (ie water orbs for crafting) and straight up selling the drops for money. I have a slayer tab in my bank and made 10m getting 88-89

Id say just skill whatever you want and do herb runs. Thats what I do .

Yeah I really enjoy Slaying for my money to be honest, and whilst the general drop just doesn't sell like it used too *cough* whips are now like 900k* we have things like Noted Sara Brew Drop...

As for the update question, its when rs updates all the bots go down for an hour or so as the people need to fix the bot to accommodate the new changes

Don't know if your still looking however tab making could be a possibility.
You have 67+ cons for the pro lectern, and having the bones to peaches spell unlocked will let you make the tabs. Rakes in about 400k/hr according to RS wiki, probably not something you'd like to do forever, but afk'able and decent income.
