Swiftkit Hacked

Not sure if there's a thread up about this already, but I just read people saying it had been hacked and wanted to put up this thread asap so that any people using it don't until it's considered secure again. (Haven't looked around for more information atm, but multiple people were confirming that it had been).

Using the swiftkit client itself posed no risk to your runescape account, it was only accessing the swiftkit.net domain and accepting the java request. If you did accept the java request then its confirmed that "Microsoft Malware Bytes" can detect the malicious files.

It's back to good old reliable Internet Explorer for me.

Swiftkit server is down, but yeah you can still access it to play, i hope nothing serious. I used it when the server was down , so i guess i should change my password for sercurity purposes?

I changed my password and switched to using Chrome, is that good enough you think?

Gotta love "hackers" that take themselves way more seriously than they should. Congrats, you took out SwiftKit, let's post a quote about how we can do the impossible. What a joke.

I know a few people who use this though, so I'll be telling them about this to make sure they know. And Micah, I'd virus scan just to be safe, though this seems like a guy who wasn't serious enough to plant a virus, and then change your password if anything is found. If you've already done a scan and just didn't say, then I'd say you're safe.

Way to go, nice to know some people honestly have nothing better to do...
