Never understood why they didn't use captcha codes instead of random events. You would have thought that with the way bots are developed they could figure out a way to make them harder to run. Captcha codes aren't that bad?

it might work but not everyone can read them, i myself have a really hard time trying to read them.

this is true. I have a hard time reading them also. some of the ones I got I was like wtf does this even mean.

The also should make randoms again so that you can die from it.

I don't know if those would work, the reason I saw this is because they have those in Classic and there are still tons of bots in there.
But if it helps more, than I am for it. As for the people saying they can't read them, you can always switch the word up to find something readable.

I am curious why it doesn't seem Jagex takes them as seriously as they might. It is definitely the 2nd most negative thing in this game, 1st being the grinding.

The grinding and bots go hand in hand. If you could no longer get xp cutting low level logs for example, but needed to do something more complex and dangerous for a much bigger payout, that would be cool. Of course there would need to be a social element, maybe teamwork could make it easier.

And yes, I find captcha hard sometimes as well, but it would not take more than 5 tries in any case, and it would be worth it. I try to take advantage of bot-driven pricing, but it does cheapen the game, and I'll be happy to see them go.

I knew botting was out of control, but this is outrageous!
